Serving Veterans through special projects and assistance. A 501(c)(3) Foundation.
The Veterans Foundation of North Carolina was established to provide aid, assistance, relief, and comfort to needy or disabled veterans or members of the Armed Forces and their dependents, and the widows and orphans of deceased veterans. We support veterans rehabilitation, welfare, and service work by supporting unfunded and underfunded veterans organizations serving our many North Carolina veterans.
Here are some of the many ways The Veterans Foundation of North Carolina, Inc., works with talented and driven volunteer groups that are dedicated to serving the veterans of North Carolina. Their services are varied, but they are united in their efforts to selflessly serve and provide support to veterans in need.
We support this group so that they can continue their outstanding efforts to enhance the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our nation’s Veterans and their families.
Each year the Veterans Foundation of North Carolina, Inc. donates $24,000 to support the VFW's Voice of Democracy Program, $10,000 to support the Department Relief Fund which helps needy veterans and their families, and also makes a donation to the VFW National Home in Eaton Rapids, MI, to support the North Carolina Cottage.
Deployments are a very difficult time for military families. Basic military pay doesn't always cover "basic needs" -mortgages, health care, groceries, the list goes on. We assist veterans families thru emergency grants to those who need temporary help making ends meet.
We can give back in a small way with honoring veterans on one last mission – taking them to see the memorials in Washington DC. It is a trip that will impact them and the guardians alike. We are proud to help fund special projects such as the Triad Honor Flights and more.
